Lake Słoneczne, located in Szczecin’s Gumience district, is gaining more and more importance every year due to the increasing number of residential developments in the surrounding area. Until recently, the development of the lake included an observation deck, renovated alleys, bicycle paths, a playground and a gazebo to the Island of Love, which can be reached by a bridge.
As a result of another task financed by the Szczecin Civic Budget, implemented by the Municipal Services Department, the lake has become the recreational center of the surrounding neighborhoods.
A new bicycle path, complementing the existing infrastructure for bicycles, a bulodrome – a playground for a game of boules, picnic tables, swings, and hammocks are just some of the attractions that await lovers of active recreation.
Planting of another 27 trees, as well as 1,347 shrubs and ornamental grasses has also been carried out.
The development of this space is an example of the important role played by the Szczecin Civic Budget, in which each resident has the opportunity to cast his vote for the development of our City.
